Listen. Can you hear it? That’s the sound of THUNDER… and it’s headed our way!
Saturday, April 26th, the High Plains Thunderbirds rumble into West Amarillo, for the 13th annual Day of Thunder, a one-day-only car show to benefit Martha’s Home. Car and truck enthusiasts from across the area will be there, showing their stuff for the judges, and for YOU, the public!
There’ll be free food, live music with Easy Street, games, door prizes, and more. And how about those cars? You’ll see street rods, modified cars and trucks, classic T-birds and many others. And these are more than just cars. These are the street machines that defined their generation, on parade for you to appreciate. And it’s FREE!
The Day of Thunder goes from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, April 26, in the parking lot of First United Bank, on 45th just east of Soncy. Event is free to the public, or just $20 to enter your car or truck.
All proceeds benefit Martha’s Home, an Amarillo-based nonprofit organization providing transitional housing and assistance to homeless women and their children, giving them a helping hand to become self-sufficient, productive members of our community. The High Plains Thunderbirds, to date, have raised over $27,000 for Martha’s Home.
